Harmony Student Wellness Program

Use music as a springboard to important topics related to student well-being! Harmony offers 40 weekly lessons broken into smaller "soundbites" which are designed to be taught each day. Through Harmony, every student and teacher in the school participates in a daily shared learning experience. They listen to the same music, participate in circle discussions, reflect through journal prompts and partner discussions, and create an arts-based project each week.

Harmony Lessons are presented in an easy to implement slide deck format and are aligned with the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL). This unique program offers students the opportunity to learn about themselves and the world around them while navigating important topics and listening to both contemporary and classic music selections.

An American History of Rock and Soul

A Complete Curriculum - Students consider how genres such as Rock and Roll, Pop, Folk, Latin, and Hip Hop have both reflected and informed cultural, social, and political developments over time. The Trace It Back Library encourages students to learn more about their favorite artists and to explore the lives and influences of artists with whom they may be unfamiliar. Each Trace It Back entry provides rich background information on the artist, and highlights the influences of other artists on the selected musician.
