You’ll discover how to use music as a primary source to teach history, culture, and critical thinking. Explore ready-to-use TeachRock lessons across time periods and themes, and connect with educators from across the state in an inspiring setting where music history happens. This workshop will equip you with practical strategies, lesson plans, and resources to bring music-driven instruction to life in your classroom, whether you teach Social Studies, English, or Music.

This workshop is designed for Middle and High School teachers of Social Studies, ELA, Humanities, Music, Social and Emotional Learning, and anyone who wants to bring more engagement and relevance to their classroom through the power of music and culture.

Continuing Education Eligibility
This professional learning workshop aligns with Vermont Core Teaching Standards 4 (Content Knowledge), 5 (Application of Content), 7 (Planning for Instruction), and 8 (Instructional Strategies). A certificate of attendance documenting six clock hours will be provided to all participants. Application of clock hours toward license renewal is subject to approval by your Local or Regional Standards Board.
