V-Disc/Hit Kit Collage

Collage contains three artifacts from Army/Navy "Hit Kit" packages. On the left is a sheet music cover featuring a group of women affectionately surrounding two soldiers in a tank. The title reads "Army-Navy Hit Kit of Popular Songs." The bottom right hand corner reads "Issued monthly by Special Services Division Army Service Forces, United State Army. For use by the U.S. armed forces only. NOT FOR SALE" To the right is text that reads "'O' issue, with a list of songs starting with O. In the middle of the image is an envelope that the sheet music likely arrived in, with a bright blue "Hit Kit" image on it. To the right is the label of a vinyl record that reads: "No. 281a, "Sun Valley Jump" (Gray") Chattanooga Choo Choo (Gordon-Warren); vocal by Sgt Ray McKinley and the Crew Chiefs; Capt Glem Miller and the Army Air Forces Training Command Orchestra. In big letters in the middle of the label it says V-disc.
